Forays are group-monitoring events that present an opportunity to learn about Plants of Concern protocol, visit interesting sites, and be in the field with experienced staff and volunteers.
All monitors must sign a confidentiality form and submit a volunteer application for the Chicago Botanic Garden to participate. If you haven't already submitted these forms, please contact POC staff and we will assist in getting you the proper paperwork.
All forays start in the morning, usually at 9 a.m., and go into the afternoon. Dress for the weather and for walking off-trail (long pants, sturdy shoes or boots). Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray as necessary. Bring your lunch as we will eat on-site. Let us know if you need to leave early so that we can coordinate logistics. Additional information will be sent to those who register.
